Thank you for sharing your traditions with us! I love hearing about other cultures, religions, etc. and their traditions. That's one of the few things I wish was different in America...we need more tradition!

It sounds similar to the Carnival celebrations we have in Latin America. It is biggest in Brazil, Colombia, and Cuba, though Haiti and most of the islands celebrate as well. My favorite part is all the music and food!!!

The carnival from Rio is famous. However, their "costumes" are only recommended in our climates if you want to end up having double-sided pneumonia. The Samba Battia's are great and I think it's amazing how much music you can make just by using percussions.
